Remembering the Martyrs

November 12, 2018

It is Veteran's Day in America, and as we take time to reflect on those who served this country and risked their lives in the name of freedom, we thought it appropriate to take this week to bring to remembrance those Christian leaders in Iran who lost their lives for the sake of the Gospel.

According to Sharia Law, the penalty for "apostasy" or converting to Christianity is death for men and life in prison for women. Every house church in Iran operates under the shadow of death. We must pray for those dear Iranians who are imprisoned for their faith and also for those who have had a loved one executed for their faith in Christ.

Elam Ministries, a world-renown Iranian training and church planting ministry published the names of several Martyrs who faithfully served Jesus Christ in Iran.

Here we take a moment to remember their legacy and pray for those affected by these tragic deaths. It is unclear who is responsible for the deaths of many of these leaders, but their legacy will live on.
